In Suffolk, VA, the resonating narrative of DeAngela unfolds—a dedicated truck driver and single mother of three, her life marked by grit, resilience, and an unyielding will to provide for her children. Now, she boldly steps forward, sharing her story with TME in Montgomery to illuminate both her personal struggles and the need for broader awareness and change.
🕊 Unyielding Commitment:
DeAngela’s journey is one of unwavering dedication. As a single mother, she’s been the backbone for her family, taking on the lone responsibility of nurturing and supporting her kids. Her role as a truck driver took her across the country, working tirelessly from Virginia to New York, all while bearing the weight of being her children’s sole provider.

🚚 The Breaking Point:
From day one, DeAngela encountered professional deceit. Despite being transparent about her status as a single mom, she was met with manipulation. Originally promised a fair 50-50 earnings split, she shockingly received only $87 for weeks of hard work. Stranded without a company terminal, she resorted to showering late at night at Planet Fitness, exposing herself to potential dangers. Her breaking point came when unexpected family emergencies forced her into desperate actions—driving a truck home through a hurricane, leading to unjust accusations of truck theft.
🔗 A Mother’s Ordeal:
The legal nightmare intensified when Montgomery Police Department (MPD) officers arrived at DeAngela’s home, shocking her 13-year-old daughter with the news of a fugitive warrant from Suffolk, VA. Despite being compliant, DeAngela was held for five days instead of the promised 72 hours, enduring stress and trauma without eating or drinking.
After finally posting bail, she faced the daunting task of turning herself in to Suffolk, VA, where she underwent booking again, essentially facing double jeopardy. This series of events came despite video evidence showing she had secured the truck and communicated its location for retrieval.
Furthermore, DeAngela is entangled in a web of deceit spun by her accuser, who falsely claims that DeAngela never reached out about returning the truck. In fact, DeAngela sent a letter upon reaching home, assuring that the truck was safe and asking what steps to take to return it.
❤️ A Voice for the Voiceless:
“Single mothers in trucking need to be cautious,” she urges. “Walking out of Planet Fitness at night was a constant risk I took because there was no terminal. I want my story to be a warning so no one else endures this nightmare.”
✨ Standing Strong:
Despite the adversity, DeAngela remains a pillar of strength and independence, stating, “I’ve always been a go-getter, a survivor, but these events pushed me to seek help. This ordeal has caused depression and anxiety, but I’m using my voice now to ensure justice for my children and others like me.”
🚗 Personal Costs:
“Thank you again for sharing my story. I’ve had to go and get rooms more than once traveling back-and-forth to Suffolk, VA due to this matter. As a single mom already facing hardship, I can’t keep spending money that I don’t have while barely making it as I care for three kids.”
✊ A Call to Action:
DeAngela’s testament is a plea for empathy and systemic change. Highlighting overlooked white-collar crimes and biases faced by those without wealth, she underscores the vital need for fairness. “A single mother should aid another, not break them,” she insists.
With TME, DeAngela’s story serves both as a call for justice and a beacon for reform, advocating for safe and equitable conditions in the workplace, particularly for single mothers in demanding industries. Share her story, and join the movement towards a kinder, more just world.
